Homemade Marinara Sauce


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1 cup chopped onions

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes

  • 6 ounce can tomato paste

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • 1 tablespoon basil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/2 cup white wine

Directions:

  1. In large sauce pan heat oil and add onions and garlic, cook until tender. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and wine.

  2. Cook for 30 minutes on low.

  3. With a hand blender puree sauce well.
